SONY'S much-hyped PlayStation 3 video games console has been delayed by four months.
The PS3 will now not arrive in Australia until March, as there have been problems in manufacturing laser diodes for the cutting-edge Blu-Ray disk drive at the heart of the system.
It was originally scheduled to launch in November, and electronics stores in Adelaide have been taking pre-orders for months.

This latest setback is a huge blow for Sony as it struggles to re-establish supremacy of the console games market.
