Cape Cod, do we have a ghost of a chance?

Cape Cod Paranormal--whatever--where are you? First, before I begin, let me say, "God bless my DVR". I know this is going to lead to a tangent (Sophie Petrillo style), but I suppose it must for those of you who do not know what a DVR is. Okay, I don't know specifically what DVR stands for. I ASSUME "direct video recorder", but I'm sure some dweeb will comment and correct me.

Anywhooooo, it's your cable provider's (in this case Comcast--it's free!) answer to the Tivo (a paid subscription that allows you to record all your favorite TV shows and watch them at your convenience). I love my DVR. And I could go on and on about it. But for now, I want to talk ghosts.

So every Friday night, I DVR "Most Haunted" on the Travel Channel. For those of you who are not familiar, it is one of the most ^%%$ *&%#^^ shows on TV! What are all the $%#s for? Well, you have to watch the show to find out. Basically, it's a British show (sweet, me love the BBC!) that does paranormal research at "haunted" locations. They have psychics and parasychologists (skeptics), a fun Brit host and a bare-bones camera crew.

First, they enter a building (somewhere in the UK) and do a daytime walk-through complete with "if you hear me knock three times" with a medium (always interesting, amusing results). Then it's a nighttime, nightvision goggle romp.

Darkness descends and that's when the "Holy ^%%$" and the "No *&%#^^ way" comes in! Visions, sounds, brush-bys, oh my!

I love the show. And don't give me a hard time, but I kind of believe in this stuff. I grew up in a haunted house (yes, #$#% happened). But I don't live in one now.

Truthfully, I'm bored. Hell, I have to fake Ouija communication with my stepdaughter and her friends when they want to communicate with the beyond. Sigh. I miss it. It's not like I grew up with an angry poltergeist. Just some sounds and sights that made my house a tad different.

That is why I would love for either of the local paranormal societies to conduct a "Most Haunted Cape Cod". Surely we can find a REAL psychic up in Provincetown or maybe even at that Lavender Moon in Sandwich. I'd be honored to attend, and I'm sure we could get the Blogfather to show it here on CapeCodToday.com.

So anybody out there?

What do you say?

Heck, we should even invite Solon and his levitating table.
