Serbian made illegal border crossing to escape wife

A Serbian man who rode off on his bicycle to Romania in anger after a row with his wife has been arrested for crossing the border illegally.
The 46-year-old, named only as Rudolf M, says all he wanted was to get as far away from his wife as possible but could now face a jail term.
He was arrested just after he crossed the border with Romania, roughly 20 miles from his home town of Kanjia, Serbia, local media reported.
He told police: "All I wanted to do was put at least one border between me and her."
