(WJZ) More than 100 ghost-enthusiasts are gathering this weekend in Baltimore for the first annual Eastern Regional Paranormal Conference.
They'll hear from authorities on ghost hunting and test equipment at locations in the city that are reputed to be haunted.
Among attendees will be researcher Andrew Laird from Rhode Island.
Laird originally set out to prove that paranormal investigations were fiction but says he changed his mind when he saw his first ghost at an abandoned insane asylum in Massachusetts. He says he hopes the serious efforts of his colleagues will eventually convince the scientific community to accept them as legitimate
