SINGAPOREAN housewife claims a bomoh in Johor Baru forced her to swallow five pieces of glass and a small 'gem stone'.
And the housewife, in her 30s, said she was charged RM1,470 ($636) for the treatment, reported the Malaysian papers.
The victim later suffered stomach pains.
She went to the Jurong East polyclinic for an X-ray and was referred to the National University Hospital's accident and emergency department.
8 OBJECTS IN STOMACH
The woman told Harian Metro that the X-ray showed eight foreign objects in her system.
The housewife told Malaysian newspapers that she had been feeling weak and had lost her appetite.
She believed she was under a curse, and so decided to seek the help of a traditional healer or bomoh.
She visited the Harian Metro and Berita Harian Malaysia offices in Johor Baru yesterday.
The woman told reporters: 'I was attracted by an advertisement in a weekend newspaper and contacted the woman on 13 Jan. I arranged to meet the woman at 4pm on 15 Jan at a hotel.'
The housewife went alone for the appointment. When she arrived, a man, believed to be the bomoh's husband, let her in.
