The International Bigfoot Society's 11th annual Bigfoot Daze Convention in Hillsboro, Ore., is this weekend.
The event starts at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Cloverleaf Building of the Washington County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $5 per day, $4 for children under 12.
Bigfoot hair, feces and plaster track casts will be on display, along with other memorabilia and books for sale.
- BOAT SHOW: The Lake Union Boats Afloat Show at Chandlers Cove continues runs through Sunday.
The show features a display of 150 power classics, retro runabouts and even custom dinghies, including several Puget Sound builders who will unveil new models.
Tickets are $10. Hours for the show are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

- BOAT SAFETY: The Olympia Flotilla of the Coast Guard Auxiliary will conduct free boat safety inspections at Swantown Marina boat launch, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday as part of the Swantown BoatSwap and Chowder Challenge.
Boaters also can enter drawings to win free life jackets.
The swap runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The chowder taste is from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Awards will be given at 2:30 p.m.
- BEAR SAFETY: A program at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park Saturday focuses on the basics of bear-safe camping.
Bears will demonstrate what happens in an unsafe, unattended campsite at 11 a.m. at the black bear exhibit.
At 1 p.m., the park's grizzly bears will match wits with bear-resistant food canisters, now used by hikers and campers in national parks.
The demonstration has advice on keeping camps bear-safe and preventing encounters while hiking or camping.
- BIKE EVENT: Capital Bicycling Club sponsors the Two County Double Metric Century Sunday.
The ride starts at 10 a.m. at Millersylvania State Park and includes rides of 21, 36, 70, 85 and 126 miles -- 126 miles equals 200 kilometers, hence the "double metric century."
