Angry man shoots lawn mower for not starting 2 hours, 1 minute ago

MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee man was accused of shooting his lawn mower because it wouldn't start. Keith Walendowski, 56, was charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed.

According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski said he was angry because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning. He told police quote, "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want."

A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She said he was intoxicated.

Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted.

A call to Walendowski's home went unanswered Friday morning.

I've never shot a piece of machinery that's pissed me off. I have however, hurled parts into the stratosphere (once I've finally gotten them off) that were a pain in the ass to remove (striped threads, rounded off bolts, having to use the blue wrench to persuade them off, etc.).

It's my belief that some machinery must be possessed by evil spirits, they're that hard to work on. Razz

I equate that with stupid stuff like punching holes in walls when your piss't about something. Of course shooting a piece of equipment full of fuel is slightly more stupid. In anycase it says he was intoxicated, that was the first mistake, working drunk. If he wasn't drunk maybe he would have fixed his mower instead of making it scrap metal.

The cops just love people to give them an excuse to take thier weapons.

Perhaps some cannot shake free of their Animistic Spiritual Roots.

Maybe it was anger spurred on by the fact that it was not he who killed the mower, viewed perhaps as domestic personal property with a Spirit in it that so strongly affected this drunken man to take measures of procuring a weapon and killing this piece of machinery in a symbolic manner.

God, give me a break! Do you really think I would actully shoot the lawnmower, and terrify the neighbors? Rolling Eyes

I can;t remember how many mowers I've owned that got old, get tempermental, and you waste time screwing with them everytime you mow, instead of going out and buying an overdue new one?

At least those push mowers started everytime. Laughing

I'm pretty hard on lawnmowers Chiselray. I leave them out, they get rained on, my yard is a rural yard, so we get a lot of tall weeds, so I end up hitting things buried in the tall weeds. Had at least one bend the crankshaft. Than you spend half a day, more times than I can remember, when they get older cleaning out gummed up carbuators, the get hard to start. Its frustrating as heck.

I just tell my little brother that lawn mower I bought from him is a piece of crap. He get's in a huff and comes over and fixes it to spite me. Wink It's worked for two seasons, I haven't had any trouble with it yet this year. I guess he did a good job on it last time. Laughing Of course any visit from him usually results in a major loss of beer inventory. Rolling Eyes Laughing

GREANESSS!!!

I haven't shot one, but I beat the CRAP out of it with a sledge hammer. It still didn't start. Good thing we're a lot closer to where all the lawn mower pilots are born, cause I've had them ever since. With the stipulation they are all legally here.

ANYONE
See that Beer commercial
If I remember it correctly

Wife say something about mowing the lawn.
Guy puts a pole in the middle of his lawn, and tethers his lawn mower to it.
Then starts it up and straps down the self propel handle
Lets go
Walks away while opening a beer, and kicks back while his lawn mower goes around in decreasing diameter circles while mowing the lawn?

Maybe it wasn't a beer commercial, maybe it was History channel, or something, but it's a damn funny commercial.
