It's great, the inquisitors didn't go to hell but Buddha and Ghandi did huh?

God doesn't logically make sense but I believe there is one, it's exactly as likely as anything else (big bang, aliens, ect) so lets say there is a god for sure.
Hypothetically if you will.
Now, we can learn much from observing nature as it is based around certain rules of science and math; mainly math. There is never only one way to do something, there may only be one obvious way but there are always at least two ways to accomplish a goal. And, as they say, every river finds its way to the ocean eventually.
But who knows, not you and not me that's for damn sure.
Btw, Jesus has the same story as many other sun gods, because he represents the sun and its movement around the heavens.

I can give Jesus some credit though, somewhere in his life he realised that the only way humans would believe him is if he suffered more than anyone to prove his point and that everyone saw his suffering.
And the 3 days after ascension thatīs another story but equally untrue as anything else that has no proff which leads to belief which in itīs turn people takes it too seriously which in the end leads to evil most of the time. |

| I don't know what you people are talking about but its not Christianity. How can you get to heaven except through Christ, the son of God? To deny the son is to to deny the father. Do you think the father will except those who deny his son? And I haven't even mentioned the Trinity (The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost are all the same God). To deny Christ is to deny God himself. Oprah has lost her mind. Power corrupts. I think she is confusing way of life vs. acceptance of Christ. Those are 2 different things. If she means that more than one lifestyle can be a good lifestyle then there is some room to maneuver but to say that she can get to heaven without Christ puts her in the non-Christian section of the bus (along with Obama). |

If there really does exist a good and just "God" then I believe he/she/it would be fair to everyone according to how they lived their lives. Bad life = some sort of punishment (not torture) for a period of time (not forever) while trying to learn from your mistakes either by coming back as another human or learning in Fantasyland. Good life = a spot next to "God."
The End.
And as far as the "Biblical God" is concerned, it makes me wonder what sort of retardation this "God" suffers from, if it really does exist. Would it really expect logical, rational, clear thinking people to simply accept everything in the Bible (written by men and not "Him") without question?...especially 20th century humans? How could this "God" expect scientifically advanced humans, who have already debunked "Genesis" and have realized that the Earth/universe isn't really 6,000 years old, to simply be gullible and naive and say, "oh well, let's just ignore that part because the rest of the Bible is true, and science is wrong anyway." No wait, we already have those people!

No, you are supposed to question and that was the point of having Satan visit Adam & Eve in that cave and deceive them. God was trying to get them to wise up. Adam and Eve were closer to the animals than we and did not have complete knowledge of good and evil. They had to be taught. But your questioning does not make your statements more valid than the ones in the Bible. You should trust that the creators of the Bible had more knowledge and wisdom than you.

Actually its 6,500 years (approximately) and THAT is based on some guy taking all the generations mentioned in the Bible and adding them up, starting from a biblical event that has a known date. Its arbitrary. Genesis is a story that has no date, plus its a metaphor and an over-simplification of actual events. I suspect that the 6,500 years thing was dreamed up by some joker that hates Christianity, kind of like people who pick one thing out the Kuran and amplify that and claim it represents the entire religion. The real Bible doesn't say anything about any stupid 6.500 years! Up until about a decade ago I never heard anything about any 6,500 years. Been meaning to give Matt Damon a call. |
