They are becoming more and more black and white!
And yet it says "there are different workings for God but of the same spirit" (Corinthians). I can't stand that Westboro Baptist Church idiot group!!
even christians I know are judgemental and don't even know ya!

modern (and historic) christians havent really come very far in terms of actually following the words of the man they claim to worship.
i am a "christian", but i certainly dont ascribe to all the inventive and elaborate leanings that many of the christian groups have. |

The teachings of Jesus are among the best, the actions of his followers are among the worst-TRUE!
but there are some good christians around and I am sure your one of them!  |

It's funny how often christians are quick to defend their egos, instead of just showing the selfless love for others that Jesus spoke of. |

Ego certainly is one of the hardest fires to quench.
Perhaps why Christ remarked that narrow was the way to salvation, and broad the gate of destruction.
He also remarked that many will say "Lord, Lord" but not do the will of his Father, and to them he would say "Depart from me, for I know ye not".
The earmark of a Christian is highlighted by a specific approach that doesn't include retribution, whether physical or emotional....a hard thing indeed...when one feels insulted, slighted, or wronged, the human creature naturally wants to see the aggressor (in their minds) punished....
Jesus rejected this, and even forced his disciples to put away their swords and allow him to be taken into custody, knowing full well what his fate would be.
Let's see Christians do this....THEN I'll believe they are sincerely Christians. |

Itīs not hard to see that most cristians are judgemental dude.
But one that isnīt in the path of their hate cannot understand it.
I understand 100% what he means and not just when it comes to cristians, muslims aswell.
If you say that you believe in anything else than God then they are swift to judge you as a bad person that will go to hell and they are looking down on you no matter if itīs your best friend or family.
And they call themselves the good guys?
The world would be much better without any of them! |

Eh...I find the same strict idea-ology whether it be on the part of religious fundamentalists or people staunchly buried in political leanings.
Try arguing for gun rights to a gun-ban whacko and you'll get the same cold attitude of derision and shame projected onto you.
Believe me, it isn't limited to religious nuts. |

I'm not defending anything here, just pointing out the obvious. It seems that everyone is free to be judgmental except Christians. I see people judging Christians here all the time, yet the first mention of anything being a sin and the Christian is told not to judge others. Pretty hypocritical don't you think? I have little doubt that anything said against Christians is O.K. in your mind but, you fail to see the exact same faults in others. Being judgmental is not a Christian trait, it is a human trait, we all do it. I have seen you judging Christians here constantly, and you don't know any of us. Where is the difference? |

I see your prejudice has prevented you from hearing anything Christians have to say. No Christian here has ever said you are a bad person for believing differently than they. And I sincerely doubt that any have looked down on you. From the Christian perspective, they cannot look down on anyone. Are you upset because someone might have called you a sinner? We are all sinners, Christians are no exception. Being a sinner includes every human being on earth. A Christian may point out a particular sin that you happen to enjoy partaking of, that is not a personal attack against you, and it is not looking down on you. We all have our sins that we all have to deal with, that includes Christians. But, you won't hear that part of the message. Like most people you hear only what you want to hear. |

I have found that it doesn't have to be a strict ideology, just a currently held belief in whatever the subject. |

And you are right. Christians ARE singled out.
the same way as the curious predicament where a person is white and wants to celebrate their culture. Instantly derided...(considered) racist even....yet all other cultures can hold marches, parades, whatever, celebrating their cultures.
It just aint okay to be Christian anymore. |

I always heard what Cristians had to say and I always respected it but when they donīt respect my beliefs I donīt respect them as humans.
Cristians in BV are one thing, Cristians in real life is another.
There is no real Cristian I`ve met that hasnīt said to me that I`m stupid or that I`m not worthy of anything aslong as I donīt believe in God.
Whole friendships ended because they coudlnīt respect my own beliefs.
And that goes not only to Cristians but specially Muslims aswell.
I never had a jewish friend though so I wonīt say anything about them yet.
Atheists or Spiritual people are the ones that never ever said anything about my beliefs or that I`m not worthy in their eyes because atleast they understand that no matter what anyone believes we are all still the same **it specie on this planet.
Of course there are people that hates religious people and religions to the fullest but letīs be honest they didnīt start this hate between these 2 worlds.
Religious people cannot accept another belief unless it is their own.
Thatīs what being ignorant means.
And yes I believe there are a few cristians out there somewhere that respects anyone that has another form of thinking.
(Not including Nazis,Racists and that kind of crap people)  |
