Partially I agree, they are not a sport at all. Unless you're playing Wii boxing lol. I don't think it will gain any form of mainstream popularity. Paying the gamers to play is a bit rediculous and IMO will only result in more pushing of crappy video games like Halo. Speaking from experience, when the mainstream gets ahold of something good it turns into something really really bad. But as far as video game leagues go, they're a lot of fun. People DO take it too seriously, but not all of them; the majority are just there to have fun and show off thier mad skillz

Bradburry was/is an amazing author; definately one of the best of our time. A warning though, it's somewhat of an aquired taste (Farenheit 451 in particular is a bit...strangely written at times, it's extremely good though). |
