The bible as a whole is a jugmental and condemning book.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Ephesians 4:4There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Revelations 2 and 3.

Talks to the seven churches. 1 out of seven was going to be saved and the others were told to repent or they would be thrown in Hell. To put it bluntly.

Based on the Bible there is only one Faith and one Hope.

Matthew 15
8" 'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
9They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.'[d]"

So they honor God by what they say but it is still in vain

Christians are told that they must worship in Spirit and in Truth so therefore is there is a right way there must be a wrong way and it is clear that proper worship is mandatory and there is only one right way so those who do not follow that way will not make it into Heaven. All Christians should be this way about there belief.

I respect people who believe this. Now whether there way is right would be the question.

If you are a Christian and you dont believe this you may want to check your belief and see if it fits with the Bible.

I wonder if people would still believe in Jesus if he said that today, but we donīt know anything about God.

We would have another way of thinking.

The word of Jesus doesn't know time. What Jesus said 2000 years ago is just as valid today to all Christians, it has no expiration date Saturos, and an open offer to everyone anytime. Instead of critisizing it, maybe you might try respecting the belief of several billion Catholics and Christians. Its your choice not to believe it, and your choice to reject it, but only for yourself, not everyone else.

Jesus was a delusional humanoid.

I wonder why his "father" is so different than him. All his "father" does is murder millions of innocent people in floods and whatnot, and displays "His" wrath and anger all the time, but Jesus is the peaceful one. Something definitely doesn't jibe.

And as always you take me out of context... Rolling Eyes

If you always feel that someone like me is gonna harrase your beliefs and the way you live your life then I suggest you do the same first.
Do onto others as you want they to do on you or whatever.

Thatīs what I do.

It seems that even I follow your bible more than you do. Laughing

Maybe you should do the same? and try to learn something for once in your life instead of taking other peopleīs ideas.

That's true, in part. It's a lot of other things too. The bible is truth and thus surely will judge and condemn people. "The ugly truth" about ourselves is something none of us want to face. To some, the "truth shall set them free," and to others it will yes, unfortunately, judge and condemn.

Quote:

Matthew 15

All Christians should be this way about there belief.

I don't see anything wrong with what Jesus said... and though He applied it directly to the Pharisees, it foreshadows the deep question all Christians must face. If Christians are indeed Christians, then they do keep their hearts close to the Father and Son--not flippantly reciting repitious, mindless prayers. And according to the above verses, real Christians do not adhere to or preach any line of reasoning that isn't derived directly from the word of God.

hey TOM, nice to see you back!
how are ya?
did you really get married?
good for you.
how was vacation?
honeymoon, whatever..

hey, just a little add on to the arguement..
i've had occaision to meet the big boys over there once or twice..
no one there ever quoted anything from scripture..
any scripture, from any writings..

but then, maybe that's just my little corner of heaven.
maybe all those that profess, have to use those rules..
i don't know.
i'll never fully understand until i get to go back, and get to stay.

i only know of one rule..
and it's a hard one.

and i figure everyone has to figure it out themselves.

and that's why i don't argue it anymore..

one thing for sure, we'll see everyone go through the same discovery.
for some however, it may be a frightening trip.

well, rather getting into heavy with you, nice to see you around.
there's alot more sh*t in here now..

sorry about that..
not my job to clean it out.

don't pop a vessel or anything, take care of home first.

Good to see you, ol' quirky friend. Yes I'm married and it's a dream come true. Vacation, until we can afford to be really exotic and since Vegas was ruled out... was at Disneyworld. My 2nd trip, her first. I got to see Circque Du Soleil's La Nouba and I was thrilled to see they hadn't changed a thing since 9 years ago when I first went. La Nouba's best act, worldwide, hands down.

Yeah well I would have agreed with you just over 5 years ago. But in my case, I thought I was figuring everything out... in fact I landed here because of my interest/near obsession with the ET phenomenon. But something happened to me that was completely out of control, mind-blowing event; my sudden, instant transformation from agnostic to Christian. I use big words to describe it, not because of the theatrics in the event itself, but, just the fact that it happened to me... me of all people.

I remember like it was yesterday... I can't find it in the old archives but about a month (I think) before my transformation, I told a couple of people here that I had a weird feeling that something life-changing was going to happen to me soon. We all agreed that I was probably feeling that way because we had all tentatively set up a meeting in Illinois... so we could meet face to face. So it was decided that my feeling was probably just the anticipation of meeting everyone. But, the meeting never happened and what I never expected, nor even wanted(!), happened. And here I am... a really strange Christian guy.

Well I guess some believe that many of us will never go through that discovery. We die, and... that's it. It all goes black.

I *ahem* obviously won't be getting on with the frequency that I used to.. which is why last night I had just a few moments to spare and I dared NOT venture into the war on terror/gladiator pit.

Great hearing from you and I'll see you around. Go insult someone I could use a good laugh...

LOL... laughing just thinking about it.

God Bless! Smile
