This video shows a 16 year old boy in Nepal that had entered a deep meditation in order to find enlightenment. One side effect of this quest is that he no longer needs food or water. There are many interesting video's online of this remarkable boy, even the Discover channel aired and episode on him.
Watch "No Food or water for 6 months"
Those who do not understand that the human body is more than it seems, see this and think it is some kind of trick, because everybody knows that we cannot live without food or water!
There is no doubt in our minds that this is so.
That simple statement is also the key to the truth. |

This is complete BS, I'm afraid. Everyone needs food and water, even the frauds who claim otherwise.
The problem is monitoring them; it's impossible, but by whatever means possible, as long as it's kept secret, they get food. |

"everyone needs food and water"
"people have been seen at night"
Belief is a powerful thing, especially when you have no doubts that what you think you know is true.
Here ia another example of someone who was tested for 10 days in a science lab, and ate no food or water. He say's he's had nothing for 64 years!

The truth is a fickle thing, colored by our perceptions, experience and belief system, then combined with our relative perspective of world view. Doubt is like the gum on the bottom of our shoes. It's difficult to get rid of. |

| I think you have been chewing that gum on the bottom of your shoe. Water is a basic eccential of life. Humans can live without food for a while, but without water, they can not survive. |

Hi Red Dog, as much respect for scientists as I have, they are very poor at spotting fraud. Scientists have been fooled many times, by those later admitting to be charlatans, and others, such as Uri Geller, who won't admit it but anyone with half a brain can see it.
If you want to find a fraud, you need to hire a magician and skeptic, like James Randi.
I'm sorry, scientists may have been fooled, but people still need food and water to survive. |

I understand the skeptical point of view. It is relative to ones base of knowledge. If you know that humans cannot walk on water, then even if Christ extends his hand to you, you will sink, as your doubts outweigh the effect of the mind/body/spirit's abilitiy to transfer energy and overcome the 'so called' natural laws.
If we look at water, at its most basic level, it is a simple form of matter that we refer to as H2O. Broken apart, water represents elemental gas, and broken down from there, it is a simple form of energy. As is everything, including your focused intentions. Energy.
Water taken into your body is doing nothing more than transferring its energy into your internal system. Life at is most basic level is nothing more than the transfer of energy.
Meditating at a deep level can be described as tapping into another form of energy. Who's to say that we cannot draw what we need from there? Just because man's laws, in the form of science, has no emprical data to back up this claim directly, doesn't mean it is not possible or does not exist. |

It's all good and well to wonder about the possibilities and untapped human potential, and sure, science is not always right and new discoveries are made all the time, but facts are facts, and no one has ever proved beyond reasonable doubt that they can survive without food or water. On the contrary, they have proved to be fraudulent time and time again.
So, while it might be good form to keep a somewhat open mind to these kinds of boasts, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and given what we do know, and taking history into account, any reasonable preson should approach this with a healthy dose of skepticism, to say the least.
By all means, put the guy through some rigorous tests with qualified magicians present to detect trickery, but let's not openly state that the guy is genuine just because he has followers and has been written about. That would be incredibly naive. |

As I said in another world.
We don't live in reality. We live in what we can best explain as reality. Newton's laws have been laughed at and discarded by the TRU scientific community, but they still teach them in schools, since our perception is truly pathetic. |

Umm, Newton's Laws have not been laughed at.
Care to explain what you mean by that? |
