| Can someone give me some more info on what will happn on 2012? Why exactly did they think that is when the world is gonna end? i mean somthin would have to happen....its not like we would just dissapear....like earth will fall out of the solar system....or was it more the whole universe will end? |

| if you translate it directly as it read's - "end of the time" you can come up with only such idea as total extinction of human and all world. in mayan mythology 21.12 is the time when their god Quatzelcoatl ( red bearded white man ) is supposed to come back from far sea shore's. We can only guess, if he really was a viking(varjag's), because we have a proof that vikings visited america long time before europian's. But it can't be truth, because vikings were nordic outcast's and they practicly lived their life out of robbing(they where sea people), so they didn't had any regular home's, only temporary wooden tent's. it mean's that their knowledge couldn't be as high to teach mayan how to carve figures out of large stone block's and move them. i don't really know, i'm only guessing out of what i know, but in our world everything could happen, i hope that in this day "god's"(or what they are), won't come to punish us for wrong doing, because, if they are physical being's, they 100% have gone thru same history step's as we today to reach highest knowledge's of universe. funny, but everytime you come up with god storie's(no matter in which religion or myth) there is always a teaching hidden in word's.. |

According to the Mayan calander,and their research on the solar system.
12/21/12 will be an enlightening period. It seems that our sun will be in the dead center of our galaxy. What is being predicted is that when this happens our planet will wobble on it's axis. Meaning real weird weather shifts. They also predict in their drawings that this will end the world as we know it.
They have drawings showing more mass flooding.
My theory is:
Now mind you this theory involves a type of hollow Earth. It has been said that the first flood ,you know the one with Noah. That the actual flood came from within the earth. Now if you have studied the Hollow Earth theories,you would know that the opening is supposed to be in the Arctic circle. According to the Mayans,when 12/21/12 comes the Earth will wobble on it's axis to a point where the Artic circle will drop in latitude drastically. causing the water from inside the Earth to come back out again like it did during the time of Noah ,and the first Great Flood.
Of course this is all still open to interpretation.

| hey so ur sayin jesus was born entering the current age were at now? the pisces? and that was a big deal, of course.....so...if were gonna enter a new age 2012 somthin big could happen? jus like it happen along time ago. correct me if i'm wrong |

that is just theoreticaly, because like on easter solstice (day when Jesus descended to sky) sun stopped in horison and raised herself three times, that's all the thing. most likely is to think that Jesus was born and descent in different day's, because solstice was much more common for pagan's(druid's, etc..) than judaist's. winter and spring solstice is a bit suspicious for such person to be born and get descended to God.

I'm sorry, but these posts are making my head hurt.
Okay, to start off, I do not believe the Earth is hollow. But let's say for a moment it were, gravity would not allow water in the center of the Earth to spill out causing a massive flood. I could go on and on explaining why, but it's like trying to argue with the Flat Earth Society.
The most likely scenario to explain the flood was that the Earth was a troposphere. (see Genesis, "The waters above and the waters below....") This does not mean water under the earth's crust, but rather oceans. The waters above many scholars assume means a planet with 100% humidity, tropical conditions all the world over, and no rain. Some sort of spiritual, or cosmic intervention cause the troposphere to collapse, hence the flood.
The most likely event that will occur on 12-21-2012 is... nothing. Worst case scenario would be some sort of gravitational affect on the sun causing increased sunspot activity, leading to chaotic weather. The Mayans did not predict this, they did not suggest that the end of the world was coming. Some scholars have derived this meaning from symbolic literature that has been discovered, nothing more than that. There is no definitive "The world is going to end" statement from the Mayans.
Some speculate this will be an enlightening period, they did not say that. They also did not say we would be entering the age of Aquarius, this is what current astrologists say. These astrologists do not say that the age of Pisces began with Jesus. Some do, granted, but the majority do not say this.
While the Vikings did come to America long before other Europeans officially did (Irish fishermen are presumed to have "accidentally" come here before even then), it is highly unlikely the made it all the way to the Mayan civilization. At best they made a small encampment in "Vineland" only to be driven out by the Iroquois league. Of course it is possible they made it all the way to Mexico, just highly unlikely. It is also a horrible misnomer to say that the Vikings were only a seafaring people without permanent homes considering they created serious encampments in Greenland that lasted over 500 years (that's not quite as long as we've been in America by the way).
As far as the stone statues of men that have been discovered along the coast of Mexico, the most likely scenario is that the Phoenicians (Egypt), who sailed around the Cape of Africa on more than one occasion, used their ships to sail to the West. Considering the ships (Caravels) the Portuguese used -- and later Columbus -- were created from the designs of the Phoenicians (later improved upon by the Arabs, Turks, Chinese, and Greeks), it is not unlikely that they traveled to the West.
Phoenicia also included the former Carthaginian Empire at the time this journey would have taken place, so it is safe to assume that many of the travelers on these boats were of African (read Black) descent. Also, in the 1200's, one of the Chinese dynasties made trips to the Americas. This is near fact, check it out. This is why many native peoples to Mexico have both African and Chinese features.

Their god gave them the "long count" calendar. It counts down to his return. His return coincides w/ changes for mankind (earth/spiritual).
The Earth won't be destroyed. We will still be here, but supposedly it will be a jumpstart for us and this planet to something new. I have come to view it like the examples of our past, i.e. we were around for millions of years living in caves/hunting, then BOOM, civilization, science, knowledge all came about just a few thousand years ago.
I think we will be going through a huge change all of a sudden and that calendar represents that.. |

2012 is the year i graduate from high school. that gives me 7 months to figure out and implement a way of melting the polar ice caps. sounds like about enough time.  |

But if I had to say what I think will happen...must be something...we canīt...figure out...unless a descendant from the mayans with the knowledge of that time comes forward...Maybe that descendant is the one to create these secret goverments to start with...  |
